Accessibility

Daily Junction is intended to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use a keyboard, screen reader, magnification, voice control, captions or other assistive technology.

Accessibility is ongoing work. This statement does not claim that every Daily Junction page, embedded service, game, stream or app screen fully conforms to an accessibility standard, and it is not an independent certification.

The standard we use as a reference

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and its Level AA criteria as a reference point when reviewing and improving the service.

That includes attention to:

Using WCAG as a reference is not the same as claiming full conformance. Automated checks can find some barriers, but meaningful review also needs keyboard, screen-reader and human testing.

Areas that may be difficult

Some Daily Junction features depend on third-party material or highly interactive interfaces. Live television streams, video players, advertising, charts, games, quizzes and embedded widgets may have controls, captions or text alternatives that we do not fully control.

Older articles and supplied images may also have incomplete descriptions. A stream provider may not supply captions or a transcript. Fixes can vary by browser, device and assistive technology.

We do not want those limitations hidden. If a feature blocks the task you came to complete, report the exact barrier. We will investigate a practical fix or alternative, but we cannot promise that every third-party item can be reproduced in another format.

Browser and device options

Your browser or operating system may let you zoom text, increase contrast, reduce motion, use reader mode, navigate by keyboard or enable spoken output. These settings differ by device and may not solve a defect in the page itself.

If a change in settings is the only way to make a page usable, please still tell us. That feedback can reveal a problem other readers face.

Report an accessibility barrier

Use content help and put “Accessibility” at the start of the subject. Include as much of the following as you can:

Do not include passwords, access keys, full card details, health information or identity documents in an accessibility report unless they are essential and we have agreed a suitable way to receive them.

The support form creates a private ticket link. Keep its ticket ID and access key secret. We do not publish a fixed response or repair time, because the work depends on the feature, supplier and severity.

Alternative contact

If the form itself is the barrier, email editor@dailyjunction.org with “Accessibility” in the subject. Explain which route was inaccessible and how you would prefer us to reply.

For general support, visit the support desk. For data-protection requests, use the Privacy Requests guide.

Review and updates

We will update this page when our accessibility approach, contact route or known limitations materially change. A statement update is not a substitute for fixing the underlying barrier, so please continue to report problems you encounter.
